These first two photos are my favorite of the couple. While they are more "serious" or "moody" I love the look of them.
When we arrived at this wedding, the weather looked promising and we had fun snapping candids of the family members waiting for the bride and groom. But just after the bride and groom came out, the weather took a turn for the worse and we had to work around the weather to take photos. Then when the rain started in earnest, we went into the temple atrium to finish up our photos of the bride and groom. Thunder and lightning boomed and flashed overhead and the power went out! Usually the power goes out and then after a few minutes it comes back on but it was still off when we left the temple and headed to the reception.
When we got to the reception, the power was out there too. Kathi and I had to use a flashlight to go to the bathroom! The candlelight on some of the tables added some light to the windowless hall, but it was still pretty dark. Five minutes before the reception was to start, the lights came on! The reception was very elegant.
