a very expressive baby!

Such a cute baby! And so expressive--she was just a pleasure to shoot. We got to use the popular pearls and spell her name with white blocks, but we also tried a new crown and a new yellow crate. She was one of the first babies to leave the blocks alone! I saw this little one when she was just a baby and was very happy to have the chance for a photo shoot with baby Venna!

baby Jack

When baby Jack arrived, a little brother for his two big sisters, I was able to visit him in the hospital and take a few photos to add to the extended family's calendar. He had such long fingers! And hair! His sisters, both blonde, were quite bald at birth! His grandmother (my photography partner) stated that he looked exactly like his father did when he was born. Such a precious little baby.

family in the park

I always enjoy shooting this family. The kids are lively and full of fun! It was a cool day in November, but they didn't seem to mind the cool weather at all.

I always have funny things I say or do to capture a child's attention, but this time I sang a song that I knew they would know--it worked like a charm! Plus they were surprised that I knew the song :)

This year, the two oldest kids wanted me to shoot them running. They were very willing to run from across the park to me several times to ensure we got great shots!

a winter wedding

I flew to Utah the week before Christmas to shoot this wedding and reception.
It was sooooo cold (in the teens) but the bride looked like a princess even though she was freezing!
It was a lovely, memorable event and I was glad I could attend.
My daughter, Tayler, was my second shooter, which was great fun!
She shot this couple's engagement photos earlier in the year.

twins holiday shoot

Christmas portrait time for these twins. So adorable!

We also got a portrait of the girls with their Grandpa.

such a cute family!

This family was so cute to photograph!
Their little girls were bundles of energy and just pixie-cute!
Their baby boy was fine when mom or dad held him.
We did coax one smile from him, though!

senior photos at the beach

Who would believe that the weather in Florence (on the Oregon coast) would be so accommodating in December? I drove down to shoot two seniors--best friends--outdoors. The weather was perfect--slightly overcast, NO WIND, and not too cold. It was a great session. We went to several scenic spots in the area. Both girls were just beautiful, and I enjoyed shooting them.

The water on this lake and on the bay was so calm.
I loved the reflections in the water.

This bridge and the Old Town bayfront district are two of Florence's popular landmarks.

And of course, we needed some shots of the two of them together!
