a smorgasbord

this post has a lot of photos! it's been almost a year since my last post and i'm playing catchup, in a way.

the photos in this post are just a few of the shoots that i've done in the past year or more. looking through these photos brings back details of each shoot--the setting, the light (or lack of it),  the props, all the behind-the-scene machinations to get each person to look at the camera or to relax in front of the camera, and even all the hours of editing involved.

i love taking photos and have never wanted to take anything but photos that were about people--either posed sessions--families, newborns, toddlers, high school seniors; events like weddings or parties; and youth sports. i enjoy collecting props and searching for new ideas for photos.

while i've been taking photos since high school, over 40 years, i realized in the last couple of months that it's time for me to retire--2015 will be my last year as a professional photographer. i've enjoyed all the people i've met and all the opportunities i've had through this career.

a big thank you to all my clients, friends, and family--i have appreciated your support.

these photos--a sorgasbord of my photo shoots--are not in chronological order...
