gorgeous baby girl

This weekend I was lucky enough to shoot the most adorable baby girl. I have several shoots to edit before hers, but couldn't resist doing a few photos! I'll post more later.

a spring break wedding

Spring Break in Oregon (usually the last full week of March) is hit or miss in the weather department. This year, it was beautiful Monday and Tuesday of that week but started to rain late Wednesday. We (Kathi & I) had a wedding scheduled for Saturday and were a little apprehensive about the weather. But  bright sun is almost as bad as rain for photos. Saturday dawned cold but clear and by the time the sealing was over, the weather was perfect--not cold, not rainy, and soft sunlight. Yeah! The flowers were blooming at the temple--it was a beautiful day for a wedding.

This reception was gorgeous. The gym had been transformed with acres and acres of tulle and chiffon and miles of mini white lights. The bride's colors of black and fuschia looked great. It was fun to try to capture both the details & the mood of the night.

Kathi's flash went off just as I snapped this photo with natural light--a happy accident!

Instead of bubbles or rice, the bride and groom left through a corridor of guests holding sparklers.

she's two!

I've had the great experience of taking photos of this little girl since her birth. This was her two-year-old photo shoot and she was very cooperative and would even smile right at me! We had a grand time! I loved her pretty dress. But after several clothing changes and lots of poses, she pronounced that she was done and that was it!
