New Photo

Here's a new photo of me taken by Taryn. It's my birthday photo (today's my birthday)

I've found the greatest way to get rid of my double chin. I have tried other approaches with no success--the turkey neck approach does not work, turtlenecks don't work, I can't always rest my hand on my chin, or hide behind an object like my camera. But Taryn climbed a ladder and shot straight down on me and--voila!--no double chin.

Halloween Festivities

This was a low-key Halloween. We did some of the traditional stuff that we normally do--visit a pumpkin patch, deliberate over costumes, attend our elementary school's Harvest Festival, go trick or treating--we didn't do some of the things we usually do. We didn't carve pumpkins this year (don't know what happened there) and we didn't have Taggart home to celebrate his birthday (the day before Halloween). Tayler's at BYU and she wasn't here for any of the festivities either. We did, however, add pumpkin lights to our meager collection of Halloween decorations.
Taryn had to work on Halloween so it was just Quinn, Tanner, and I that went to our church's Trunk or Treat celebration. Trunk or Treat is an annual tradition where everyone is our stake meets at the parking lot of the church and backs their vehicles into a parking spot, opens their trunks and passes out candy to trick or treaters that go from car to car. It's fun, safe, (and quick) and you get to see everybody there.
I, the photographer, forgot my camera! I had set my camera bag on the table but forgot to grab it when I was grabbing the candy! Lucky for me, my friend Monica had her camera and let me use it. We even stopped on the way home to see Taryn at work and snapped a pic of her dressed up in her 80's/work out girl costume. The Nelsons met us at home and we went around our neighborhood trick or treating.

Tanner dressed up as Ben10. We had to really spray his hair alot to get it to look dark.
Taryn had to dress up for work. We stopped there for a pumpkin-shaped pizza and to see her!
Missy dressed up as a princess. She did have a "good witch" costume but changed her mind at the last minute. She was funny to watch running from house to house in her high heels. Her mother and I were sure that she was going to trip and fall, but she never did!

The final destination--trick or treating at our house. Quinn passed out candy so he could watch the Blazer game!
