catching up...

Finally catching up on my blogging! I tried to update my blog a little while ago. I wrote a long post and uploaded all my photos, pushed publish and nothing happened! I'm hoping for better success this time...

catching up

it's been a BUSY late summer and fall! i love it! but i feel like i've been editing 24/7! i think i even have dreams filled with visions of editing. i never realized (before i became a professional photographer) how much work goes into a photo shoot before and after the actual shoot!
the following posts are from this fall's work.

artist in residence-photography

during the last part of the year, the whole school participated in an artist in residence program with acclaimed photographer Julie Keefe. i had the opportunity to assist her sometimes as she went from class to class and grade to grade and taught both basic photography principals and empathy for others. it was a great experience! while the kids were out shooting, i had the opportunity to practice too. here are some of my favorites!

catching up

When I was young, summers seemed to last forever. Now they fly by. This year, it seemed like every time I turned around I had a camera in my hand. The next couple of posts will catch up some of my most memorable summer (counting September) shoots.

here's our new logo

Kathi, my sister-in-law, and I have partnered together for many years photographing weddings, families, events, babies, and more. While we each have our own photography business, with accompanying business cards and logos, we've never put together something for our work together.
Finally! It's here. A logo for the two of us together. Kathi came up with the design, and I love it!

Coming soon!

I take care of three blogs right now--this one, a blog for our elementary school's Parent-Teacher Organization (www.oakgrovepto.blogspot.com), and one about my sister's wedding preparations. All have been fun to do and I'm getting better at posting more frequently.
On the school blog I've learned how to post links to PTO flyers and forms. From my sister's blog, I've learned out to link to other websites. (I feel so cool knowing how to do this!)
Because I now know how to do this, I'm going to add a photo price sheet, photo session instructions, a wedding/reception checklist, on this blog.
Look for these links soon.
