schedule changes initiate this photo session

This was a great shoot--I enjoyed meeting this friend-of-a-friend, and she was very relaxed and natural in front of the camera. She had set up a session for her high school senior, but his schedule changed at the last minute, so she decided to keep the photo session for herself. Like many women, it had been several years since she had had any portraits taken.

My friend's daughters are active in the Job's Daughters organization. We had a great time at this photo shoot with the oldest daughter.

a woman and her dog were the subjects of this birthday present photo shoot.

she brought costumes for her dog. she (and her mom) had plans to use the photos of her dog in a calendar for dad. so we tried to capture shots of him in a variety of holiday costumes.

the christmas pose is my favorite.
