a family maternity shoot

This cute family all came for the maternity shoot.
We recreated some photos from her maternity shoots with her two older kids
and created some new poses.
They were all eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new brother/son or sister/daughter.

props and kids

Love photo shoots with this cute family.
Mom and her kids were in town visiting family and scheduled a shoot with me.
We had a great time..

A cute chair, an old suitcase and other props are great to use to stage a shot. They can keep a child in place or get them comfortable for a natural pose.
And sometimes the best way to engage toddlers is through the props you use.
The pearls kept this little one entertained...

...and the lollipops (supplied by Mom) were the perfect entertainment and diversion for both kids.

three cute kids

This summer while we were in Utah we got to see my niece and her kids.
They live in Minnesota so our chances to see them are few.
We were able to do a variety of activities together and have a mini photo shoot also...

We had so much fun together!

A toddler photo shoot is always an unpredictable adventure. This photo shoot was no exception. This cute little girl came to my photo studio, and we (her parents & I) couldn't get a satisfactory shot. The next week I went over to her house and took candids in the backyard and was able to capture the cutest portraits of an adorable little girl!

This was the only photo I liked from our first shoot.

maternity photo shoot

There is nothing cuter than a pregnant woman! Here is one of the maternity shoots I did this year.

This is favorite shot number 1...

this is my 2nd favorite shot...

and this is my 3rd favorite shot!

a graduation and a wedding

We traveled to Utah this summer for the graduation of my son-in-law and the wedding of my niece. To add to the "hecticness" of our trip--they were both on the same day within hours of each other! We made it to both and enjoyed our day with family.

At my niece's wedding, there were 3 photographers (all relatives--mother of the bride & 2 aunts) plus a videographer; there were plenty of people capturing the memorable event! It was a beautiful day. Here are a some pictures I took of the day...
The Bride & Groom

The reception was held in the beautiful backyard of a friend of the bride's family.
Great weather--not too hot--a only a short shower in the middle of the evening
(but who worries it will rain in Utah in August?)
