adorable Lillie

Last week, I had a photo shoot with the most adorable little girl, Lillie. There were so many cute shots, I had a hard time deciding which ones to post. These were just a few of my favorites in a mix of photo treatments (color, sepia, black & white, soft focus, etc.). Her grandmother, a friend of mine, scheduled the shoot. The photos of the two of them are just so wonderful. You'll notice that I haven't tired of my new light brown backdrop yet! I love the rich color and it's a nice change from my black backdrop (which I do still love too!).

here's our new logo

Kathi, my sister-in-law, and I have partnered together for many years photographing weddings, families, events, babies, and more. While we each have our own photography business, with accompanying business cards and logos, we've never put together something for our work together.
Finally! It's here. A logo for the two of us together. Kathi came up with the design, and I love it!

the one year old!

It came faster than I thought it would--Cheyenne's one year photo shoot. She was in California the week of her birthday so we took photos right when they got home. After not seeing her for a week, she seemed to have so much more hair! Some time I'll post a photo from all 12 photo shoots. Just like many scrapbooking magazines suggest, we've included her bear in each shoot. It will be fun to see what the bear looks like in a couple of years! It's been so much fun to do; even though Cheyenne seems to smile for everyone EXCEPT me when I have a camera in my hand! These were just my top favorites; there were so many to choose from!

at the park

after Mikayla and Sadie's photo shoot, Kathi & I took the kids to the park. Taryn stayed home and took care of baby Sadie. It was soooo cold and cloudy but at least there was no rain. The five kids had so much fun running around, swinging on the swings, climbing and sliding. It was fun to see them having a good time. I loved seeing Tanner doing "under doggies", Tanner and Missy using "rock, paper, scissors" to decide who was "it" or Cameron making faces as he raced around, Mikayla gleefully swinging, and Jason crossing the monkey bars. I also seem to like washed out photos of Mikayla!

engagement photos

I took the engagement photos for a really cute couple. During our entire photo shoot--indoors and outdoors--I don't think they took a bad photo! After a week of rain, on the day of their shoot the sun came out. It was very cold but at least it was clear!
